Our Entrance Door Products

We supply composite, aluminium and steel entrance doors. For our composite doors, we partner with Truedor, a UK based manufacturer with over 35 years’ experience.

For aluminium doors and steel entrance doors we partner with Hormann, one of the global leaders in door manufacturing.

Working with these two pioneers gives us access to a wide range of choice underpinned by a reputation for producing the highest quality and most secure doors.

Whether you have a limited budget and are looking for a basic composite door in white, or you are looking for a complete bespoke and unique steel or aluminium entrance door to compliment a luxury home, these two manufacturers can cater for both needs

Front door colour options

Our composite front doors from Truedor available in any RAL colour https://www.truedor.co.uk/colours, which means you have a huge range of choice. Our surveyors will guide you on which colour best matches your windows, garage door, brick, render and fascia. Truedor also have a standard range of 19 standard colours which are slightly lower in cost and typically held in stock. However all these standard colours come in a range of styles and can be personalised with our range of different glazing and handles.

Front door survey & quote

There is a huge amount for entrance door products on the market.

We work predominantly with Horman and Truedoor primarily because they offer great choice in terms of style, colours and cost.

Before providing a quote, our surveyor will visit your home and show you all the different styles and colours available. At the same time they will survey and measure the door frame, so that we are 100% clear on the size requirements and whether any additional work needs to be done on the frame.

Our surveyor will also help you make the right choice around style and colour, drawing on their experience to provide advice on what best compliments your windows and the style of your home.

We will send a detailed quote that will outline our recommendations, but also provide a breakdown of additional requirements, such as the door frame.

After sending the quote, our surveyor will then talk you through the different options and only when you are 100% happy will we take receipt of the order.

Front door security & safety

Truedor’s composite doors are fitted with high security multi-point locking systems as standard.

These locks meet the requirements of PAS 23/24 and are tested in accordance with BS EN ISO 1303 Building Hardware – Cylinders for Locks.

In addition, Truedor’s composite doors also come with a specially designed dog bolt system, to protect you from intruders.

The two sets of triple hinge bolts secure the door to the door frame, giving you additional peace of mind.

If you want the optimal level of security, choose a Hormann Aluminium or Steel door.

All their entrance doors have the highest levels of RC3 or RC4 security features that include:

  • Profile cylinder with flush-fitting security rose escutcheon
  • Profile cylinder with surface-mounted security rose escutcheon
  • Security lock with swing bolt and mechanical locking
  • Security lock with bolt and mechanical self-locking
  • Security lock with bolt, arrestor hook and mechanical self-locking
  • Leverage protection on the hinge side

Front door installation

Your front door is a really important aspect to your home. Not only do you use it every day, but you lock it every night to keep you and your family safe. A good quality, well installed door will keep you warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

A stylish front door can transform the look of your home and add real curb appeal.

With all this in mind, we take the installation process seriously.

All our front door installers have over twenty years’ experience installing entrance doors, working with most of the major manufacturers. Having conducted a survey, we will ensure the door and frame fit seamlessly together, ensuring a perfect fit.

Front door repair

Good quality front doors and entrance doors rarely break, because they don’t have any major movable parts.

The most common problems tend to be with door seals, locks, handles, hinges and letter boxes. If you have a problem with your door, feel free to give us a call and we can explore whether it is something we can help with.

In some instances, such as wear and tear, it might be that the door needs to be replace, but we can advise you of your options.

Most doors are supplied with a guarantee or warranty, so it is worthwhile checking if the door is covered before contacting a repair company.

If you have a problem with your front door lock, our advice would to contact a local locksmith who will be able to provide a quote to fix the lock.

What do front doors cost?
Front doors can vary quite significantly in cost. Typically UPVC and Composite doors are the least expensive, with costs ranging from around £500 to £1000 including installation. Aluminium and Steel doors from some of the leading manufacturers like Horman and Novoferm are more expensive, with doors costing between £1,000 and £5,000. Other things that influence the cost are the frame and the surround. If you have a standard door frame and all that is required is a new door fitting to the existing frame, the cost will be relatively low. If you need a completely new frame and surround, then the costs will naturally be higher. Our advice is always to invite three quotes, particularly if this is the first time you have bought an entrance door for your home. This gives you different options from which you can compare and contrast.
Despite the relatively low cost, composite doors offer fantastic levels of security and are perfectly adequate for the average home. However, if you want the highest levels of security, choose an aluminium or steel door. Generally speaking, the more glass you have in your door or in the door surround, the higher the risk of break-in. It is therefore about getting the balance right in terms of having a door that lets in plenty of light vs the security consideration. Our survey will help guide you on making these decisions.
